50 gr pre-sliced of Carlit´s Duck Magret, from the town of Puigcerdá, in the Cerdanya region of Girona, Catalonia. In vacuum-sealed packaging.
The flavor of the duck, intense but soft at the same time, brings back memories of mountains, tranquility, and good scenery. Carlit selects ducks that grow in the open air to make the best magrets.
Both for those of you who are gourmets and for those of you who don't like duck prepared in any other way, we challenge you to try Carlit's magret. You will feel a little piece of our Cerdanya in your mouth! Cross breed of French genetics, very rustic and resistant.
The duck is three weeks indoors until it gets the plume, then it goes outdoors, where it will be for 9 weeks more eating corn twice a day. After 9 weeks, the duck returns indoors for final fattening, also with 100% corn. The duck's growth process is not accelerated.
Once we have the duck ham fresh, we put it in the natural drying rooms where the ham will be for 4 weeks with a natural drying process. Once cured, it goes to the slicing and packaging lines.
It is great for salads or as ham for tapas.
